Course Description

For those who have completed the Basic Tax Preparation course, our Advanced Tax Preparation 3-day course will guide you through an understanding of how partnerships, corporations, and fiduciaries work in the tax industry. This tax course will also provide you with much of the tax knowledge needed for taking the exam. Earn 15 credit hours/continued education.

How much does the Advanced Tax Preparation course cost?

Our 1-day Advanced Tax Preparation is $350 For Members | $500 For Non-Members.
No. To become a tax preparer and as a first year, you are required to take these following courses to become approved as one:
  • Basic Tax Preparation
  • Advanced Tax Preparation
  • Intro to Ethics: An Introduction to Ethics and Professional Tax Return Preparation
If you sign up online, we will send you a confirmation email which guarantees your seat in the class. Just arrive to class, receive your student handbook, and have a seat. The instructor teaches and demonstrates Basic Tax Preparation on a large projection screen and will answer specific questions after each section. If you would like, you can even bring your laptop. At the end of the 3-day course, you will receive a certificate of completion.
No. We teach the class “seminar-style.” This means that all the important info you need will be provided in your student handbook. Most students will write notes in their handbook. Our method ensures that you will learn more material with the smallest investment. However, we do provide our students laptops if needed.
Yes. You can get a refund upon cancellation. However, some restrictions will apply.
Absolutely not. And you don’t even need experience in tax work either. Most students at LMS Success U has had little to no previous experience in tax work.
If you’ve finished at least two years of high school, you have probably had enough formal education to enable you to complete our Tax Preparation courses to enable you to successfully establish your own thriving tax practice. As far as math is concerned, thanks to the calculator, basic arithmetic skills are not necessarily needed anymore but a good skill nonetheless to have.
To initially train tax providers, IRS does not approve or accredit courses. However, the IRS does approve of CE providers which LMS offers a Continuing Education program for returning tax preparers.
